Tanzania Breast Cancer Foundation (TBCF) is a small charity based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, run by volunteers, who are all breast cancer survivors. TBCF help women who are suffering with breast cancer, a lot of whom are mothers, who have families of their own. All the money they receive from The Frangipani Trust go towards helping women pay for the treatment they need - such as chemotherapy, buying special bras for women who have had a mastectomy, creating support groups and awareness campaigns to educate women around Tanzania on the affects of breast cancer, positive thinking and healthy eating. Most importantly, making sure that these women have the support they need, during their difficult battle through breast cancer.

Women in Tanzania diagnosed with breast cancer face enormous challenges, ranging from late diagnosis, high cost of treatment, social and moral stigma. One of the largest problems in Tanzania, is that a lot of women look at breast cancer as a bad, unsanitary disease to have, and thus are scared to reach out for the help they really need. TBCF as well as The Frangipani Trust want to conquer the fear and negative thoughts, so that these women can receive the proper help and advice that they so desperately need.
